About Tui Architecture

Glenn D. McBeth graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1995 and has worked in the New Zealand architecture industry ever since. He is a Licensed Building Practitioner (Design 2).

He has extensive experience in residential architecture, including new home designs, renovations, and multi-unit developments such as apartments, duplexes, and terrace houses. He has designed to all budgets, from entry level to multi-million dollar projects.

More recently Glenn has completed several light commercial architecture projects, in Taranaki, exceeding industry standards for early childhood centres and aged care facilities, providing comfortable and functional spaces to support users in all age groups.

Glenn has also previously been a partner in a design and build company, involved from the initial design stages, through costing and tendering, to project management and handover of the finished house. This gives him a good understanding of the cost implications of design decisions, both in terms of material selection and with regards to construction detailing.

Glenn collaborates well with engineers and third-party consultants, and is also happy to liaise with local councils across Taranaki on your behalf.

Glenn has a collaborative-driven philosophy that emphasises providing design solutions that meet the needs and requirements of the client. He believes achieving good design is a process that requires robust communication between the designer and the client. Strong problem-solving skills lead to creative and resourceful ways to find solutions to site, budget, or other limitations. He enjoys designing for challenging or restrictive sites, and is experienced with a wide range of construction methods.
